I decided to start this company because I believe in and support the enterprising spirit of small and medium business owners.

My partner owns and runs his own business, and I’ve always had tremendous respect for the amount of work and dedication he puts into it. I spent a great portion of my working career in small and medium businesses, and appreciate the advantages a small business has over the large corporation, some of which are the agility to flex and bend to change, to better tailor to and service customer needs.

But I also know first-hand some of the challenges they experience – there’s never enough time or resource to develop what you want to achieve, even if you have fantastic ideas.

I’ve spent time in large companies, and over time have developed the realisation that what works for big corporations does not always transfer well to small and medium businesses. However the disciplines and processes from larger companies offer a structure to help smaller businesses frame their marketing plans.

I also spent a good part of my career in businesses with modest budgets. I adapted to these businesses what I learnt from the big companies to achieve business goals; be a David and market like Goliath.

Having spent time in the car industry with consumer marketing, business to business marketing and product management in manufacturing, building, and export industries, I’ve gained a diverse exposure to different types of businesses, from selling media space to marketing cars and hand held power tools.

It is from this background and deep appreciation for the tenacity of small and medium businesses, and the important contribution they make to New Zealand, that I’ve decided to offer my services to support this important sector.

When I’m not doing marketing stuff, I indulge in music, dance and anything chocolate.
